How long will therapy take? It depends on the person and their situation. I have worked with people who have resolved the issue they came in for within a few months and I have worked with people for several years. Many times, we will begin to resolve one issue and discover many more lurking below the surface.
I am not the kind of therapist that limits clients to a set number of sessions, nor am I the kind of therapist that strings people along after they are ready to terminate therapy. How long it takes is completely up to you and we can work together to determine what is best for you. I have worked with many patients on and off over the years; I love seeing how much my clients have grown and helping them build off of earlier work when they need it.
How will I know if you can help me? Finding the right therapist can be tricky. You want someone who "gets it" and has the skills and expertise you need. Some of my clients have different insurance than listed above and use their out-of-network benefits. Using out-of-network benefits means you are responsible for the counseling fee at the time of service.
