What You Want to Know
How long will therapy take?
It depends on the person and their situation. I have worked with people who have resolved the issue they came in for within a few months and I have worked with people for several years. Many times, we will begin to resolve one issue and discover many more lurking below the surface.
I am not the kind of therapist that limits clients to a set number of sessions, nor am I the kind of therapist that strings people along after they are ready to terminate therapy. How long it takes is completely up to you and we can work together to determine what is best for you.
We will initially meet at the same day & time each week. If weekly appointments are challenging for family sessions due to completing schedules, we may meet at the same day and time every 2 weeks. Weekly scheduling is preferred at the onset of therapy due to the volume and intensity of work at the beginning. We may step down to bi-weekly or once monthly as goals are met and therapy progresses.

I have worked with many patients on and off over the years; I love seeing how much my clients have grown and helping them build off of earlier work when they need it.

How will I know if you can help me?
Finding the right therapist can be tricky. You want someone who "gets it" and has the skills and expertise you need. You also want someone you can feel comfortable with and trust. That takes time.
The easiest way to get there? Start here and here to see if I might be a good fit. You may also want to check out my Blog or schedule your free 15 minute consultation with me.

How much does it cost?
You are not paying me for my time. You are paying me for results.
Investing your time and money in therapy means you are at a point in your life where you know you cannot continue the path you are on and you are ready to get to work to make some changes. It's a big step, and you and your loved ones are worth your investment.
My practice offers the following features for my clients:
- 24/7 Online scheduling
- Client portal with secure, private, messaging
- Consultation with other professionals you are working with to ensure a seamless continuum of care
- Flexible, convenient online counseling
Professional counseling fees are set for the following service durations:
- Initial Intake, 60 minutes, $187
- Ongoing Sessions, 50 minutes, $165
- Extended Sessions & Family Therapy, 90 minutes, $250 (these sessions cannot be billed to insurance)

There are several ways your counseling fees can be covered or reimbursed, including HSA, HRA, or FSA accounts, reimbursement through your employer, and / or out of network benefits through your insurance (if you would like to use insurance, call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify out-of-network outpatient mental health counseling benefits). I will automatically provide a document (known as a Superbill) to you each month outlining what services have been rendered and the amount you have paid for said services. This document may be used for fee coverage or reimbursement as noted above. You may also deduct your therapy payments from your taxes (see your tax preparer or accountant for details). While I am considered In-Network with ComPsych & Cigna your plan's terms and conditions will determine your specific coverage. If you would like to use insurance, call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify outpatient mental health counseling benefits.
